NIPA Fall Pickleball Beginner Clinics

Niagara Indoor Pickleball Association (NIPA) has scheduled additional fall Beginner Clinics to keep up with the growing demand for local pickleball in Pelham.

Pickleball continues to be one of the fastest growing sports across North America because it is accessible and fun for people of all ages.  It provides a great way for people to get exercise because it is fun and social.  It is good physically for cardiovascular health, balance, agility, coordination, flexibility and helping with weight management.  The low impact nature of the sport is easier on joints than many other sports. Plus, it is also good for mental health, releasing endorphins to boost happiness and reduce stress/anxiety.

“Demand for beginner lessons seems to be increasing across all age groups.  We constantly have people on our wait list who are interested in learning the game,” said Karen Seliske, NIPA member and organizer of the clinics.

Each Beginner Clinic consists of two, two-hour sessions at a cost of $25, which is refunded against NIPA fall membership fee if registrants choose to join the Club.  Two new sessions are scheduled for Sunday afternoons on September 28/October 5 and Monday evenings October 6/20 at 5:30.

NIPA is a non-profit organization run entirely by member volunteers and is an official affiliate of Pickleball Ontario.  Its first branch, located in Concordia Academy at 1165 Centre Street in Fenwick, first opened its doors in October 2024 and now has over 200 members.
